IPADE Graduates Full-time MBA Class of 2017

In July of 2017, the IPADE Full-time MBA (MEDE) Program Class of 2017 started a new chapter in their lives, graduating with a Masters in Business Administration. The commencement ceremony for the Monterrey campus was held on July 7, 2017, where 53 members of the sixth MEDE program received their degrees. In Mexico City, 85 members of the Class of 2017 received their degrees in a ceremony hosted on July 14, 2017. The great majority of graduating members of the Class of 2017 will enter full-time managerial positions after graduation, with graduates joining both Mexican companies and multinationals.

Both ceremonies were attended by distinguished members of the faculty and staff of IPADE and the Universidad Panamericana, including José Antonio Lozano Diez, Rector of the UP-IPADE system; Rafael Gómez Nava, Dean of IPADE; Ernesto Bolio Barajas, Director of the MEDE program; and Ramón Ibarra Ramos, Faculty Head of the MEDE program.

At the celebration in Monterrey, Javier González Garza, President of the Class of 2017, took the stage to thank the faculty and staff, family members, and classmates that made the experience possible. Mr. González also invited his fellow classmates to continue to live and share the values that they had learned at IPADE everyday, using them to improve their companies and the world at large.

“IPADE taught us how to stay humble, and that attention to detail is crucial,” said Mr. González. “From this day forward, we become members and representatives of a tradition of excellence. Congratulations, MEDE Class of 2017! We did it!

The Mexico City Class President, Gustavo Jesús García Campos, shared equally inspiring words with his classmates.

“Be a true leader that leads by example,” said Mr. García. “Friends, I think you probably agree that the MBA that we receive today isn’t an end, but rather a means; a way to continue to be the protagonists and architects of our own destinies. There are two things that I want to ask of you: dream big and live with complete and total passion. Congratulations, Class of 2017!”

All graduates then took an oath agreeing to abide by the ethics of their profession and received their mortarboard and diploma from the Academic Executive Council, confirming them as Masters in Business Administration. IPADE is proud to welcome all 138 graduates into our alumni community.
